Public Information Opportunities

The FTE is nearing completion of the design phase.

More than 800 people attended a Design Public Information Meeting held on July 24, 2008 at the Citrus County National Guard Armory in Crystal River. Members of the public were able to view and comment upon exhibits from the project design, which was approximately 30 percent complete. Turnpike officials were pleased to receive more than 200 comment forms during the meeting comment period ending Aug. 5, 2008.

Comments may continue to be submitted via this Web site.

The FTE provided a number of public involvement opportunities during the study that resulted in the approval of the 1998 Suncoast Parkway – Project 2 State Environmental Impact Report (SEIR).

The FTE will continue to provide the community with information about this project, via this Web site and periodic newsletters, as well as public involvement opportunities through community meetings and a design Public Hearing.

We encourage you to check this Web site from time to time for information on the progress of the project, as well as for notice of other public meetings.
